I am an Experienced Registered Yoga teacher (E-RYT 200). I teach in and around the local community, including regular classes at Leslie Science Center, Allen Creek School, and the Y, and speciality events at places like Wolverine Brewing, Running Fit, and summer beach classes. I keep my overhead low and pass on savings to my students.
My corporate and athletic clients have included the University of Michigan Women's Field Hockey and Women's Rowing teams, Ann Arbor Rowing Club, Thompson Reuters & the Toyota Corporation.
Athletes use their bodies and muscle groups in the same way over time. Yoga helps to engage opposing muscle groups and brings symmetry back into the body, enhancing overall balance and performance. Yoga practice lends itself to longevity in specific sports. Suppleness and balance are an essential part of many sports, and more and more teams are incorporating yoga as part of their training plan, resulting in fewer injuries, increased balance, and greater longevity for participants.
Yoga for Athletes should not be confused with Athletic yoga. We use our bodies all day, every day, Yoga helps to stabilize and strengthen the core and brings awareness and a sense of balance and ease into whatever you do. Yoga is beneficial for every body.
